If a species has a genome and gene set available in GenBank, but not RefSeq, we format the GenBank gff3 to meet our needs for loading into HymenopteraMine. Melipona quadrifasciata is the only species that met these criteria for the HymenopteraMine v1.5 release. The original gff was downloaded from the NCBI ftp site (species subdirectory within https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genomes/genbank/invertebrate/).
